G-BT04 Angel Feather : Cool stuff

Hi guys! Snake here and I'm here to share a couple of Angel Feather builds that I've been piloting online.

I don't usually run Angel Feather. Even during the Metatron hype, I wasn't that really interested in the clan since I prefer clans which place more emphasis on control play-styles back then (Kagero/Narukami). I decided to play around with several builds, placing more emphasis on the newer cards, to change things up a bit out of curiosity.

Gabriel/Malchadael core:

4 Black Shiver, Gabriel
3 Holy Edge Celestial, Malchidael

4 Nurse of Broken Heart
3 Million Ray Pegasus
3 Dosage Celestial, Asmodel (Mate)
2 Love Machine Gun, Nociel

4 Black Record, Israfil (CC-PG)
4 Black Call, Nakir (Stride Fodder)
4 Thousand Ray Pegasus
2 Battle Cupid, Nociel

3 Invert Celestial, Asbeel (Critical)
3 Critical Hit Angel (Critical)
3 Doctroid Lifros (Stand)
3 Fever Therapy Nurse (Draw)
4 Sunny Smile Angel (Heal)
1 Black Candle, Azrael (Starter)
---
4  Holy Seraph, Raphael
2 Holy Seraph, Raziel
1 Holy Seraph, Uriel
1 Snow Element, Blizza
---

Plan is simple. Set up power boosting units (Nurse/Pegasus) , grind out the game by stalling with Raphael's healing ability and finish it with Raziel's crazy damage swapping skill, powering up your units. Doctoroid Lifros is key for explosive pushes, even on non-stride turns, while the Nociel units are there to expand your options. Malchadael is a secondary vanguard which provide constant power up to your units when your resources are limited at the later stages of the game. Blizza is a late game option or to set up GB2 for a burst next turn using Gabriel's GB2.

Gabriel/Metatron core

4 Black Shiver, Gabriel
3 Crimson Impact, Metatron

4 Nurse of Broken Heart
4 Million Ray Pegasus
3 Love Machine Gun, Nociel
1 Dream Light Unicorn

4 Black Record, Israfil (CC-PG)
4 Black Call, Nakir (Stride Fodder)
4 Thousand Ray Pegasus
2 Battle Cupid, Nociel

3 Invert Celestial, Asbeel (Critical)
3 Critical Hit Angel (Critical)
3 Doctroid Lifros (Stand)
3 Fever Therapy Nurse (Draw)
4 Sunny Smile Angel (Heal)
1 Black Candle, Azrael (Starter)
---
4  Holy Seraph, Raphael
2 Holy Seraph, Raziel
1 Holy Seraph, Uriel
1 Snow Element, Blizza
---

Plan is the same as the above deck, but it is a more aggressive build with the addition of Metatron. Use Metatron to give power boost to Nurse and the Pegasus while abusing G2 Nociel to amplify power boost while fetching units.

Metatron only

4 Crimson Impact, Metatron

3 Nurse of Broken Heart
4 Million Ray Pegasus
3 Crimson Drive, Aphrodite
3 Examine Angel

4 Black Record, Israfil (CC-PG)
3 Black Call, Nakir (Stride Fodder)
4 Thousand Ray Pegasus
2 Crimson Mind, Baruch
3 Battle Cupid, Nociel

8 Critical
4 Draw
4 Heal
1 Crimson Heart, Nahas
---
4  Holy Seraph, Raphael
4 Holy Seraph, Raziel
---

Or you can be that asshole and run this. Aggro the opponent in the first 2 turns and end it with Metatron or Raziel(if you have the resources to). Examine angel helps you pull lucky card advantage (due to huge G1+G2 count) Nociels are there to fetch Metatron(if you do not have the key units to superior ride) or Thousand Ray Pegasus to support your Raziel turn. It's a gimmicky deck but I figured theres no harm in sharing :D

Angel Feather is a strong clan, but I feel that they are slow as compared to other clans in the current metagame. They rely on healing skills from units like Raphael and Dream Light Unicorn to stall the game while gathering resources to punch the opponent with big numbers later in the game. Personally, I not really fond of units having skills to power themselves up for certain combos since you as the player are dependent on getting that specific card to supplement said combo. I prefer units which give power boosts to other units, like some units in Royal Paladin and Neo Nectar.

Well, that's my personal take on the Angel Feather clan. I'd probably experiment on other builds if i have the time. How has the Angel Feather clan been for you since the update?
